What do you wanna make?
Family Shop is a hands-on maker series at Open Works for families or multigenerational pairs that wanna learn how to make together! Every month this winter come explore woodworking, sewing, robotics and other maker technologies.
Family Shop: Drones is a 3-class series this May that explores Drones with Global Air Media! Explore new heights with drones during our weekend family building workshop series!
Through hands-on learning, participants will use math, science, and engineering skills to research, model, build and fly a quadcopter drone. Each family group will be able to take home their drone to practice and showcase their skills. Families are engaged through existing and new programs which incorporate drone-related hardware, software, applications and related technologies. Participants will also get the unique opportunity to learn programming and coding through an interactive app.
